Rocky Mountain - Margaret Elizabeth MacDonald, 76, passed away peacefully June 14th, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born April 15th, 1931, in Pleasant Valley, she was the eldest daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Sutherland) Weagle. Margaret was a resident of Rocky Mountain most of her life having moved to the area to teach school some 56 years ago. She was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church, East River St. Mary's. Margaret was actively involved in her church and community. She enjoyed quilting, baking, attending Women's Institute and AMS, and spending time with her family and friends. Margaret Bud will always be remembered for her strong faith, famous scotch cookies, thoughtful letters and cards, and charity work. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Daniel (Bud) MacDonald, Rocky Mountain; children: Joyce (Donnie) Rae, Coalburn; Scott (Ethel) MacDonald, New Town; Elaine MacDonald, New Glasgow; Kenneth (Toby) MacDonald, Egerton; and Jayne (Arnold) Greene, MacPherson's Mills; grandchildren: Stephanie (Jason) Cameron, Julie (Jeff) MacDonald, Wayne (Jennifer and Rod) MacDonald, Karen MacDonald, Sarah, Daniel, and Jenna MacDonald, Janelle and Jillian Greene; brother, Doug (June) Weagle, Trenton; and sister, Doris Weagle, New Glasgow. She will also be lovingly missed by her in-laws, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by an infant daughter and a brother, Carl. Visitation will take place today from 2-4 and 7-9 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Zion Presbyterian Church, East River St. Mary's with Rev. Calvin Crichton officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
