VENO, THOMAS MATTHEW The death of Thomas (Tom) Matthew Veno of Rusagonis occurred on August 20, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Colford) Veno. Mr. Veno is survived by seven sons, Jerry (Vanessa) Veno of Fredericton, Thomas Matthew Veno Jr. "T.J." (Keila Currie) of Tracy, Jamie Veno, Christopher Veno (Tanya Lavigne), Sandy Veno (Joanne Cull) and Matthew Veno all of Fredericton and Jeffrey Veno of Miramichi; one step-son, Jason Cormier of Fredericton; grandchildren, Brianna, Jonah, Anna, Jessica, Dawson, Connor, Kennedie and Mackenzie; one sister, Bertha (Norman) Oickle of Fredericton; three brothers, Melvin Veno of Rusagonis, Michael (Dianne) Veno and John (Ruth) Veno both of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Sheila Veno and one nephew, Robert Shannon. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Sunday, August 22, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm; and from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Monday, August 23, 2004 from 2 to 4 pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday following the visitation at 5 pm at the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery, Blissfield, NB. Rev. Mark Trzop will officiate. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
