HALIFAX – Margaret “Peggy” Theresa Mullins, 90, of Parkland Estates, Halifax, formerly of Cameron Ave., New Glasgow, passed away on Thursday, September 18th, 2008, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Pugwash, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Mary (Guilderson) O’Connor. Peggy was a resident of Pictou and Greenwood, Pictou Co., before moving to New Glasgow. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, the C.W.L. and the Legion of Mary. Surviving are daughters: Maureen (Pete) Buell, Halifax; Ann (Bill) Rhude, East Loon Lake; Kathleen Elizabeth (Rod) Miller, White Hill; son, James S. (Dawn) Mullins, Ottawa; granddaughter, Amy; grandsons: Michael, David, Andrew, Jonathan and Stephen; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ferne Mullins, Kentville; sister-in-law, Sheila (Herb) Carmichael, Maine, U.S.A. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Mullins; son, David Mullins; infant daughter, Judith; sisters, Kathleen and Ellen O’Connor; brothers, Vincent and Joseph. Family flowers only. There will be no visitation by request. A public Mass will take place on Monday, September 29th, at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations in memory of Peggy may be made to the Heart And Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
