CLAUDE JAMES LITTLE

LITTLE, CLAUDE JAMES Claude J. Little, a long time resident of York Mills, passed away October 4, 2004 at his home. Born in Harvey on June 11, 1920 he was the son of the late Lorne and Mina Little. Claude owned and managed a woods operation, sawmill, and a trucking and excavation business for many years. When his health permitted, he was a member of the Cherry Mountain Lodge, the Harvey Curling Club, and the Harvey Barber Shop Singers. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna E. Little; a daughter, Jane Briggs (Kris), Magaguadavic; a son James Little (Norma), Harvey; three grandchildren, Andrea Little (Mark), Harvey; Aaron Little (Kelly), Fredericton and Adon Briggs, Magaguadavic; three great grandchildren, Jaydon, Jesse and Mallory Little; a brother, Elwood Little, Magaguadavic; five sisters, Mable Embleton, Elizabeth Little, both of York Mills, Ethel Dorcas, Christie Ridge Sylvia Little, Saint John and Roxie Hood, Magaguadavic; several nieces and nephews. Claude was predeceased by a sister, Tressa Vail and a brother, Amos Little. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004 at 3 pm. Rev. Dr. William Randall officiating. Interment in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Claude, the family has suggested a charity of the donor's choice. Pallbearers will be Aaron Little, Adon Briggs, Mark Little, Terry Embleton, Brian Embleton and Jack Wilkin. www.flewellingswan.com
