ROY WILLIS SAUNDERS
SAUNDERS, ROY WILLIS The death of Roy Willis Saunders, of Fredericton, husband of Bina (Spavold) Saunders occurred at his residence on Tuesday, October 5, 2004. Born in Birdton, NB, he was a son of the late Earle and Doris (Nicholson) Saunders. Mr. Saunders was a cook for the R.C.M.P. for 35 years. He was a past member of Nashwaaksis Lions Club and was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Nashwaaksis. Besides his wife, Mr. Saunders is survived by one son, Kerry Saunders and his special friend Barbara Miller of Doaktown; one daughter, Esther Saunders of Halifax, NS; three grandchildren, Mark, Shawn and Eric Lowther; one sister, Susan O'Neill (Dr. Blair O'Neill) of Halifax; and three nieces. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, North on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 2 pm with Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlands Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are: Gordon Seymour, Dale Saunders, Earl Davidson, Art Barton, Donald Everett and Charles Corey.
