WALTER ARCHIE MOIR

MOIR, WALTER ARCHIE The passing of Walter Archie Moir, husband of Peggy (Dinner) Moir of Fredericton, occurred on Sunday, October 10 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Temple, NB, He was the son of the late George and Daisy (Levonsailor) Moir. Walter was a World War II Veteran having served with the Royal Canadian Engineers and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Fredericton Branch #4. He is survived by his wife Peggy; one daughter, Jennifer Speedy and her husband Carl "Skip" of Fredericton; their son, Jeff Speedy with wife Linda and their children Brett and Kylee, and their daughter, Kristan Gallant with husband Jason, their children, Rhys and Ethan; one son, Terence "Terry" Moir and wife Leslye of Ottawa, Ontario, their daughter, Heather and their son, Adam; one sister, Ethel Cummings of Saint John ; one sister-inlaw, Alma Moir of London, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all of his family. Visitation will take place Friday, October 15 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, from 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9:30 PM. There will also be a Royal Canadian Legion Fredericton Branch # 4, Memorial Tribute at 7 pm at the Funeral Home. The Service will be at the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Main Street, Fredericton, on Saturday October 16, 2004 at 2 pm with Rev. Bill MacMullin officiating. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be: Irving Grant, Fraser Grant, Allan Gilks and Terry O'Brien. A reception is to follow in the Church Hall. The interment will be held at the Field of Honor, Forest Hill Cemetery, all are welcome. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
