Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on February 5, 2008, Clifford Fifield (retired carpenter), age 82. Predeceased by parents James and Elfreda Fifield; sisters Lily Starling and Catherine Haye and brother Frank. Leaving to mourn are his wife Ruby (nee MacBay), sons Keith (Christine) of St. John's and Brent (Stephanie) and granddaughter Audrey of Hamilton, Ontario; also sister Alice of St. John's; one nephew Frank Fifield (Eileen) and Frankie of CBS; two nieces Rosalind Starling of Neptune Beach, Florida and Carol Noseworthy (Paul), Stephen and Jane of Terra Nova, NL. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday, February 6 from 1-9 p.m. and Thursday, February 7 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
