BRIGGS, GLADYS BARBARA The death of Gladys B. Briggs of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, November 1st, 2004. Born on November 19th, 1917 in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Mary (Tait) Whitlock and the wife of the late Donald F. Briggs. Gladys will be well remembered for her kindness, her giving nature and her love of family. She was also an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, watching them since 1977. She is survived by her son, Donald A. Briggs of Fredericton, NB; daughters, Diane King (Richard) of Lincoln, NB and Darlene Brewer (Edward) of Middle Hainesville, NB; sister, Marion Morton of Fredericton, NB; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband; parents; brother, Douglas and sisters, Vera, Chloe and Joyce. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 5th, 2004 at 11:00 am. Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
