TRURO – Mary Florence McCarron, 93, of Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, June 11th, 2008, at the Manor. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Curley) Craig. Mary lived in New Glasgow most of her life. She had been a resident of Cedarstone Enhanced Care. She was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, where she was a charter member of the C.W.L. for over 50 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, Craig (Neila), Stellarton; Eric (Joan), Burlington, ON; Mark (Sherry), Calgary, AB; daughter, June McCarron, Spryfield; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh; daughter, Susan; brothers: Wilfred, Amos and Frankie; sister, Helen. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society or the Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Young Street, Truro.
