PINE TREE – Mary Jennette Surette, 84, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Pine Tree, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in the Manor. Born in Frasers Mountain, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence Mae (Reid) MacKinnon. She was a devoted homemaker all her life. Surviving are daughter, Florence (Ed) McKearney, MacPhersons Mills; son, Leo Charles, New Glasgow; granddaughter, Jolene McKearney, Bridgewater; grandson, Justin Surette, Guysborough. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Joseph “Jim” Surette. The family received visitors 2-4 p.m. Friday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodburn Cemetery.
