HAZEL AMELIA STEWART

STEWART, HAZEL AMELIA The death of Hazel Amelia Stewart, formerly of Tower Street in Saint John and wife of the late Joseph Martin Stewart, occurred on December 1, 2004 at the Nashwaak Villa Stanley. Born in Royal Road, NB she was the daughter of the late William and Eliza Jane (Willis) Sandwith. Hazel was a retired clerk and seamstress at Edgecombe Store and Vans Ready to Wear in Fredericton and Manchester's Store in Saint John. She was a member of the Carleton-Kirk United Church in Saint John. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and relatives and enjoyed having people drop in and visit with her. Hazel also enjoyed many hobbies including making quilts, crocheting and craft work. Her favorite music was piano and the violin and favorite flower was the rose. She was the last surviving member of her family. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by four brothers Walter Raymond Sandwith, William Ernest Sandwith, John Frederick Sandwith and Roland Harlock Sandwith; two sisters Ethel Mary McNabb and Mildred May Hayes and two infant siblings Harold and Helen Gertrude. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Friday December 3, 2004 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on at York Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:30 am from the T. Gordon Macleod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Johnson and Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the Seymour Memorial Cemetery, Kingsley. Reception will be held in the Kingsley Hall. For those who wish remembrances made to the Seymour Memorial Cemetery or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
