HOPPER, JOYCE ANNIE 1915 - 2004 Joyce A. Hopper (Fillmore) in her 90th year, of Hanwell, NB, and formerly of Stoney Creek, NB. passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton following a brief illness on Wednesday, December 8, 2004. Born in Alma, NB; she was the daughter of the late Roy N. and Annie G. (McKinley) Fillmore. She had worked with the Government Department of Unemployment Insurance Commission. She was a member of Lower Coverdale United Church and a life member of the U.C.W. and the Women's Institute. Her hobbies included, quilting, knitting, crochette, doing puzzles, pickling and making preserves. She is survived by two daughters; Doris M. Scott and her husband Merritt of Hanwell, NB and Ruth Phillips and her husband Sanford of Weldon, NB, step-son; Merle Hopper of Intervale, NB, step-daughter; Violet Wilson of Riverview, six grandchildren; Todd Scott (Andrea Garland), Tina Scott (Warren Court), Kim Jones (Paul), Sanford Phillips (Ellen), Kelly Phillips (Lorry Stevens) and Becky Holmden (Jason), six step-grandchildren; Diane Miller (Ken), Fay Russell (Charles), Larry Wilson, Evan Wilson (Leisha), Jim Hopper (Suzanne) and Gordon Hopper (Wanda), five great grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren, four step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was the last survivng member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Evan Hopper, sister Pauline Snider and a brother Stuart a Flight Lieutenant. Visitation is at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road., Riverview, on Friday December 10, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 11:00 am with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the reception area of the funeral home immediately following the service. Interment will be in the Nixon Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
