HUGHES, ROBERT JAMES The death of Robert James Hughes of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, December 13th, 2004. Born in Evanstan Illinois, USA he was the son of Barbara (Foster) and the late George J. Hughes. Bobby enjoyed swimming, basketball, track and field, bowling and poster arts. At the age 14 years he became involved with Special Olympics, winning many medals. He is survived by his mother, Barbara of Fredericton, NB; one brother, John (Debbie) of Fredericton, NB; three nephews, Dylan, Lee and Allan; four aunts, Kaye McCain of Fredericton, NB, Reta Babkirk of Chatham, ON, Lu (Ray) McBride of Sebastian, Florida, Avis (Kenneth) McIntyre of London, ON and Bobby's care givers, Alvin and Ruth Austin of Fredericton, NB as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his father, George Hughes; maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be at the McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York St. Fredericton, NB, on Wednesday, December 15th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Grace Memorial United Baptist Church on Thursday, December 16th, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Doug Hapeman will officiate.
