PLYMOUTH – Michael MacNeil, age 63, of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Alexander B. and Elizabeth (Delaney) MacNeil. He was an employee of Convergys and Tip Top and a former employee of CN. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1667 and former Grand Knight. He was also a former Scout Master. He is survived by his wife, the former Deborah Conley; sons: Mark (Tracey), Plymouth; David (Sonya), New Glasgow; Geoffrey, Plymouth; grandchildren: Bailey, Sophy, Taylor, Jesse and Sean; sister, Jessie Marie (David) Parkinson, New Glasgow; brother, Bill (Celina), New Glasgow; nieces and nephew: Blaire, Meagan, Chelsey, Caitlin and Alex. Cremation has taken place. Visitation Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Abercrombie Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
