SPRINGVILLE/NEW GLASGOW - Minnie Dorenda Johnson, 91, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Springville, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace (MacLean) Brennan Sr. Minnie was a member of the Springville Presbyterian Church and the Springville Women's Institute. She was also a member of the Glen Haven Manor Choir. Surviving are son, Allan (Wendy), Springville; grandchildren, Chris (Angela), Thorburn; Tracy (Grant) Johnson-Mason, Springville; Kelly (Joey) Johnson, Westville; great-grandchildren: Kenneth and Michael; Joseph; Vaughn; several nieces and nephews; son; Hughie and family, Truro. She was predeceased by her husband, John Johnson; brother, James Jr.; and a daughter in infancy. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday in the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Don Shepard officiating. Burial will be in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Minnie may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association.
