ANNIE "ALFREDA" ARNOLD
ARNOLD, ANNIE "ALFREDA" The death of Annie "Alfreda" Arnold of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, January 3rd, 2005. Born in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kaine) Holland and wife of the late Harold C. Daley Sr. and Boyce B. Arnold. Alfreda was very proud of having worked at Canadian Cotton in Marysville from 1946 to its closing in 1952. She was also a member and a past president of the Marysville Legion Branch # 15. Alfreda was an avid bowler, card player and she was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays fan. The most important thing to Alfreda was her family, and she loved every one of them deeply. She was a great supporter of the MS Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society and Easter Seals. She is survived by her grandchildren, Joanie Allison (Colin) of Rusagonis, Todd Higgins (Margo) of Stanley, John Daley (Joan) of Fredericton and Jeanette Clowater (Evan) of Lakeville Corner; twelve grandchildren, Melissa, Ashley and Kyle Allison, Josh, Melissa and Jeffrey Smith, Natasha Higgins, Alex and Amanda Daley, Sheldon, Logan and Jonathan Clowater; one brother David Holland (Betty); one sister, Robena "Bouncie" Jones (Hazen) and two special nieces, Anna Higgins and Beccie Richard. She was predeceased by her parents; husbands, Harold C. Daley Sr., Boyce B. Arnold; children, Ellen Higgins and John Daley; two brothers, Robert Andrew (infant) and Billy Holland as well as one sister, Margaret Higgins. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 6th, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Ven. John Sharpe will officiate. Interment will be held in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. In memory of her daughter Ellen and her sister Margaret, memorial tributes may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. www.mcadamsfh.com
