OVILA JOSEPH HACHEY
HACHEY, OVILA JOSEPH The death of Ovila Joseph Hachey of Salmon Creek, N.B., occurred January 10, 2005 at the Queen's North Health Complex, Minto, N.B., after a battle with Cancer at the age of 71. Born in Minto, N.B., he was the son of the late Clifford and Laura (Meuiner) Hachey. Ovila was a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Minto Legion Branch #12 and was a foster parent for 11 years. Survived by his loving wife Sylvia Hachey of Salmon Creek, N.B.; a son, Ricky Hachey (Janet) of Chipman, N.B.; two daughters, Delores Ferris (Paul) of Saint John, N.B., and Charlene Knox (Sam) of North Forks, N.B.; three brothers, Tony (Jeanette), Clifford (Elvena) and Rolly (Cathy) all of Saint John, N.B.; four sisters, Rita Thebeau (Vital) of Nackawic, N.B., Doris Hoyt of Saint John, N.B., Stella Mannella (Brian) and Linda LaBrie (Paul) both of Minto, N.B.; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ovila was predeceased by an infant daughter Kathy. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home, 327-3490 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, January 13, 2005 from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father P. Stephen officiating. Interment will take place in St. Bridgit's Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, N.B., at a later date. For those who wish donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
