Sinclair, Myrna Rodell, passed away peacefully in Valley View Villa on Friday, January 16, 2009. Born in Stellarton on May 14, 1920, she was the youngest daughter of Clarence and Agnes Grant. Following the death of her mother when she was two years old, Myrna was brought up by her grandparents, Angus and Hanna McKeil in Stellarton. Myrna was married to Lawrence “Lonnie” Sinclair in 1942 and lived in New Glasgow until she became a resident of the Villa five years ago. She was a member of the former Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the choir, the Ladies Aid, and the Board of Managers. Myrna was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie, and by her brothers: Everett, Willard, Truman, and Robert; and her sisters: Doris Barrett, Betty Chisholm, Katheryn Brown, Marion Webster and Clara. She is survived by her son, Clarie, and his wife Reta of Truro; two grandsons, David and his wife Sally; Steven and his wife Dayna; four great-grandchildren: Brianna, Erin, Caitlyn and Matthew, all of Fredericton, N.B., She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Valley View Villa. www.rhporter.ca
