RAYMOND LEWIS BOONE
BOONE, RAYMOND LEWIS Raymond L. Boone of Harvey Station went to be with his Lord on January 27, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Dorn Ridge, NB on September 16, 1927, he was a son of the late Byron and Mabel (Haines) Boone. Ray was an active Deacon at Harvey Baptist Church. Along with his wife, Ray served his Lord in Prison Ministry for the Shantymen's Christian Association for fifteen years. He was widely known for his talent and craftsmanship in building beverage can airplanes. Ray loved life and people. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Alice (Packham) Boone; two daughters, Pat Dewar (Paul), Prescott, ON and Kathleen Lister (Ross Barnet), Fredericton; three sons, Bill (Teri), Stirling, ON, Byron (Cathy), Brockville, ON and Harold (Rowena), Fredericton; three sisters, Doreen Gould (Bill), Hanwell, Lila Wilson (Lloyd), Summerside, PE and Mary Carr (Milton), Nevada, USA; two brothers, Harold (Shirley), Comox, BC and Elwood (Joan), Dartmouth, NS; nine grandchildren, Melody Barr (Robert), Andrew Boone (Sara), Allison Boone, Andrea Lister, Jamie Boone, Timothy Boone, Natalie Lister, Joanna Boone and Michael Boone; one great granddaughter, Samantha Barr; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother, William Boone and wife Marjorie. Resting at the Harvey Baptist Church, 1929 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB with visitation on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Cherry Mountain Cemetery, Harvey Station, NB.
