(1935 - 2008) Passed away in the presence of his loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on June 13, 2008, age 72 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 52 years Ruby (Lucas); children: Debbie McCarthy (Jim), grandchildren Jennifer (Corey) and Adam (Kayla); Wayne (Jackie), grandchildren: Krista and Nicklas; Terry (Lorna), granddaughter Adele (Kenton) and great-granddaughter Sawyer; Todd (Kim) and grandchildren Annika and Jack. Predeceased by his father Gordon (1979) and mother Bertha (Adams) (1990); father-in-law George Lucas (1975) and mother-in-law Violet (Adams) (2005); brothers and sisters-in-law: Ern Tibbs; Bill Lucas; George Lucas; Alice Lucas and Mary Lucas. Also leaving to mourn: brother Bob (Audrey) and sister Ethel Tibbs; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jean Hudson (Dave); Joyce Rose (Max); Fred Lucas (Ella); David Lucas; Roy Lucas (Blanche); Bruce Lucas; Gail Dempsey (Erin); Linda Best (Ben); and Josephine Lucas and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Reddy and to the exceptional staff of St. Clare's Coronary Care Unit, especially Liz, Jackie, Alice, Jeannette and Helen. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 15, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. A private family memorial to be held at a later date.
