SMITH, HATTIE MAY Hattie May Smith - 60, of Sackville, N.B., formerly of Shinimicas, N.S. and Fredericton, N.B., died peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, N.B., with her nurses by her side. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Leigh and Margaret Smith. Hattie was a C.N.A. in Moncton, Charlottetown and Fredericton before retiring. She was a former member of Devon Park Baptist Church, Fredericton. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Rev. David Keith, Hopewell Hill; niece, Lynn (Todd) Blake, Halifax; aunt, Evelyn Smith, Amherst. She will also be missed by several cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret "Rose" Keith, on February 5, 2005; and sister in infancy, Mary. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, with funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, February 11, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-4472930), with Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation of N.S., Canadian Cancer Society, or Drew Nursing Home, Sackville.
