NEW GLASGOW - Pearl Cecilia Brow, 84, New Glasgow, formerly of Abercrombie, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007, lovingly holding the hands of her daughters. Born in Salisbury Plains, England, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Ann (Clarke) Pace. She had been employed in the Nut and Bolt Factory, Trenton Works during the Second World War, later working at the former Eastern Meat Packers, Trenton and domestic services. Pearl was an avid card player and was a member of the former "Abercrombie Card Club". In later years she enjoyed a great passion for bingo. Surviving are daughters, Janet (Allen) DeCoste, Merigomish; Patsy (Peter) Westerman, New Glasgow; chosen daughter, Kathy MacKenzie; son, Wayne (Gerry) Brow, Coombs, BC; sister, Budia (Bob) Eastman, Dundas, ON; brother; Robert "Bobby" Pace, Toronto, ON; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Brow; sisters, Winifred "Win" Gratto; Barbara Pace; brothers, George Pace; Ronald "Ronnie" Pace. Cremation has take place. The family will receive visitors in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Capt. James Sinclair officiating. Interment of ashes will be in Abercrombie Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, or to any charity of one's choice.
