Raymond Patrick Boyce, 81, Union Street, Westville, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at his home. Born in Portuguese Cove, Halifax County, he was a son of the late William and Catherine (Purcell) Boyce. He moved to Westville as a young boy. He was a steel worker and pipe fitter by trade working at the Pictou Shipyards for many years until retirement. Raymond’s greatest enjoyment was the love and entertainment he received from his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by daughters, Ruth Weston (Harold); Annette Patton (Albert); niece, Frances MacPherson all of Westville; grandniece, Mary Osmond, Union Centre, and grandchildren, Katelyn and Emily Weston; Ashley Patton and Justin Osmond. He is also survived by sister Mary Boudreau, Westville, and by his sister in law, Muriel Boyce, Westville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Fogarty); sister, Audrey Bennett and infant sister, Blanche; brothers: William, James, Gerald, and Clarence Boyce. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville, with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
