DYKEMAN, VESTA IRENE The death of Vesta Irene Dykeman, wife of the late Eugene Dykeman, of Fredericton, NB occurred on February 22nd, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Vesta, born in Mactaquac, NB, was a daughter of the late Dow and Ethel McKeen. She was a former member of the Mactaquac Baptist Church and was attending the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and friends of 120 McKnight Street. Ms. Dykeman is survived by her daughter Patricia Dykeman of Fredericton, NB; two sisters, Nellie Hildebrand (Robert) of Douglas, NB and Evelyn Erickson of Fredericton, NB; two grandchildren, Christopher and Gregory; one great-grandchild, Faith; two special nephews, Robert Gordon Dykeman (Edna) and Roy Dykeman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother Melvin McKeen. Visitation will take place on Wednesday at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 24th, 2005 from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating and Rev. Roger Urquhart assisting. Interment will take place at the Mactaquac Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
