TERRY WATERS

WATERS, TERRY It is with deep sadness that the family of Terry Waters announces his passing on March 24, 2005. Terry died peacefully in the arms of his family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. E. Chalmers Hospital after a brief, but devastating struggle with cancer. Terry died as he lived - with great dignity, integrity and courage. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family. Terry was the beloved husband of Joanne, a kind and devoted daddy to his precious boys, James and Colin and a steadfast, loving father to his daughter, Danielle. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Violet and Ernest Waters. He will be sadly missed by many family members and friends including his brothers Roger, Kelly and Brian and his sister Elaine. He will always have a special place in the hearts of his parents-in-law, Irene and Ed Marchant and Diane and Ian. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Terry worked for thirty years with Enbridge Gas (formerly Consumers Gas), the past five years in Fredericton as the Manager, Customer Service. Terry's professional accomplishments are numerous and include setting up and managing the training facility at Enbridge Gas in Toronto, sitting on various gas code committees for TSSA and the Canadian Natural Gas Association. He developed Community College courses, and wrote and developed training manuals and the GI, G2 and G3 exams. In NB and NS he worked on the training of fitters in the Community Colleges, sat on the NB Natural Gas Board and was involved with the installation, service and inspection of natural gas distribution in NB. Joanne and the children would like to express their gratitude to the Extra Mural nurses, Dr. Paul Kerr, Dr. S. Grant, Anne Ouellette and the Palliative Care nurses who showed Terry such compassion and care during the last few months. Special thanks to family members, the staff of Enbridge Gas and all our friends in Fredericton who helped and supported us so much during Terry's illness. A funeral service will be held at Wilmot United Church on Monday, March 28 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Chris Levan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made if desired to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Fredericton SPCA. Arrangements are in the care of McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home. www.mcadamsfh.com There are a hundred places where I fear To go, - so with his memory they brim! And entering with relief some quiet place Where never fell his foot or shone his face I say, "There is no memory of him here!" And so stand stricken, so remembering him! Edna St. Vincent Millay
