NEWELL, DOROTHY GRACE WADE The death of Dorothy Grace Wade Newell of Fredericton, NB, wife of Bill Newell, occurred on April 1st, 2005. Dorothy passed on peacefully at the hospital, after a very short illness. Born on March 17, 1921 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian DeLong. Dorothy was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Baptist Church and was an avid volunteer for her community. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dr. Richard Wade (Cheryl) and Dr. David Wade (Astrid) both of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Amanda Wade McLaughlin (Carter), Ryan, Ashley, Lance and Misty Wade Hovey (Tristan); three brother-in-laws, Wendell Ritchie, Chester (Reta), Dale (Polly) Wade; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Herbert Wade and her sister Florence. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 4th, 2005 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
