HOVEY, BIRDENA RUTH The death of Birdena Ruth (Doak) Hovey, wife of the late Clifford Hovey, of Boiestown, NB, occurred on May 27, 2005 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born in Ludlow, NB on January 27, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lydia (Neagle) Doak. Birdena was a member of St. Peters Anglican Church, Boiestown, NB. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Reid (Fred) of Winnipeg, MB; daughter-in-law Darlene Hovey of Boiestown, NB; six grandchildren Stephen (Shelley) Reid, Ellen (Robert) Clement, Kelvin (Sylvia) Reid, Richard (Cathy) Hovey, Susan (Stuart) Anglehart and Joe Hovey; 11 greatgrandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Doris Doak of Fredericton, NB; brother in-law Murray Smith of Hartland NB; several nieces and nephews; special niece Loretta Doak. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Allan and Watson Hovey; two sisters Ellen Doak and Daisy Trevors; four brothers, Nelson, James, Everett and Phillip Doak. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday May 29, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 30, 2005 at 2pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Titus officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Anglican Church Cemetery, Ludlow, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
