
WILLIAM "GLEN" KILBURN
KILBURN, WILLIAM "GLEN" 1947 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of W. Glen Kilburn, age 57, beloved husband of Barbara (Smith). Born in Fredericton, November 8th, 1947, he was the son of Robin and Nina (Hood) Kilburn. Glen received his education in the Fredericton School System and went on to graduate from the Business Program at NBCC Saint John, NB. Glen is a former member of the Fredericton Police Force, and decided to pursue his interest with the family business, where he was employed for many years. An avid sportsmen in his youth, Glen could be found at most Hockey, Rugby, Football, Baseball and Soccer Games, cheering on his son or nephews. Glen was a Past President of the Fredericton Capital Y's Mens' Club, and traveled extensively on behalf of the Y's Mens' International. He was well respected around the world for his devotion to this organization. During the fall and winter, he could be found playing pool and entered many tournaments. The summer would find Glen at his favorite hide-a- way<$> the "Camp" at Magaguadavic Lake, reading and soaking up the sun. Glen's greatest pride was his family, especially his two grandsons. Grampy loved to play games and spend time with his boys. Besides his loving wife Barbara, He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Kilburn of Grand Manan, Alison (Shane) Somerville of Moncton, one son, Zachary Kilburn at home, two grandsons, Jacob and Liam Somerville of Moncton; one sister, Sandra Dubrule, three brothers, George (Patricia), Clark (Bonnie), Christopher (Geraldine) all of Fredericton, several nieces and nephews. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Robin and Nina, brother, James and sister, Nancy. Visitation will be held at McAdam Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, June 13th, 2005 from 6 - 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 14th, 2005 at 2:00 pm Rev. Bill MacMullin will officiate.
