Date de décès : 4 avril 2008
Sparrow, Clifford Gordon December 30, 1935 - April 4, 2008 It is with great sadness that Gord's family announces his passing after a courageous struggle with complications of celiac disease. Born in Moose Jaw and raised on the family farm, Gord farmed in the Petrolia district for 50 years, retiring in 2001. Gord was very fortunate having worked at a job that he truly enjoyed. He loved making things grow. Through the years, he enjoyed curling, golf, camping, woodwork and other hobbies. He loved to play cards and was tough to beat at cribbage. He and Marlene spent winters in Westlaco, TX where they made many friends. Shuffleboard became his passion and he won many tournaments. They loved to dance to old time music. Many weekends were spent in the 5th wheel at polkafests. Gord is survived by his loving wife Marlene, sister Dolores McRitchie, daughters Barb (Gord) Macleod and Shelley (Jim) Dickson, granddaughters Shaeni and Jennifer (Dave), great-grandson Brody as well as Marlene's daughters Shawn (Blake) MacKay and Carol Kruger and grandson Morgan. The family gives sincere thanks to Dr. Wm. Lewis, Dr. S. Thamilvaanan, Pastors Craig and Trent, staff at 3E RGH, family & friends, especially our condo family. Your many acts of kindness were greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Gord's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 2:00 pm at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, Box1697, Regina S4P 3Z6.
