Simpson Lloyd G. Simpson of Moose Jaw passed away suddenly on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Lloyd was born in the Darmody district April 16, 1922. He enjoyed living at the "Old Fire Hall" where he shared many enjoyable hours with his buddies. Lloyd was a Veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased by his parents, John and Annie Simpson; his siblings: Ernest, Anne Cafferata, May Tushie, Myrtle Howard, Alice Campbell, John and Joe. Lloyd is survived by two sisters: Kathleen Cook of White Court, Alberta and Eileen (John) Fischer of Moose Jaw, one brother, Clifford (Jeanette) of Delta, B.C., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Della Ferguson will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Roscoe Steele, Moose Jaw Branch #59. Cremation will take place with memorialization in the Veterans Section,Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials in Lloyd's memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, c/o 268 High Street West, Moose Jaw, S6H 1S8. In living memory of Lloyd, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.
