DEAN, SOPHIE MARGARET The death of Sophie Margaret Dean of Oromocto occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Thursday, September 8th, 2005. Born in New Denmark, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Esther (Cyr) Hendricksen and the wife of Harry R. Dean. Margaret was a very kind and loving person, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She was an avid supporter of the Hip Hip Hurray events and was elected into their National Hall of Fame in both the Builder and Fund Raiser categories; Sophie was a member of the Saint John's Anglican Church. Her loving family and many friends will sadly miss her. Survived by her husband Harry; their children, Jack Dean (Diane) of Ottawa, ON, Carol Hidiroglou (Stephen) of Oromocto, Susan Light (John D.) of Digby, NS and Raymond Jr. Dean "Skip" (Sheila) of Chilliwack, BC; seven grandchildren, Jillian Dean, Nathaniel Dean, Brian Strachan, Stephen Strachan, Yannick Hidiroglou and Christopher Dean. Pre deceased by Collin Dean. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, NB on Friday, September 9th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday September 10th, 2005 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Keith Howlett will officiate. Interment will be in the Saint John's Anglican Church Cemetery.
