FRASER, M. ELIZABETH (NEE MACLAGGAN) (CAIN) M. Elizabeth Fraser passed away peacefully at the DECH, Fredericton, NB on October 10, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Covered Bridge, York County, NB, on January 4, 1913, to Robert E. MacLaggan and Marjorie A (Titus) MacLaggan, Elizabeth was the eldest of six children. B'b (Lib), as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth A. Fraser; son Douglas Cain (Barb); daughter Jane (nee Fraser) Hall (Scott); one sister Dr. Ellen MacGillvray; one brother Donald MacLaggan; cherished grandchildren Shyanne, Bradley, Melanie and Stephen; great-grandchildren Hali and Brynn Estey, Erica and Daniel King; several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a great believer in "doing things right" and that was evident in everything she undertook. She held many different types of jobs during her life, and she retired from the position of stenographer for the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick, where she implemented a cataloguing system for this department which is still in use today. A resident of South Devon her entire life, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Elizabeth enjoyed her retirement years with her husband Ken at Grand Lake in the summer and Estero, Florida in the winter. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents; her first husband Donald K. Cain; brothers Douglas MacLaggan, baby Thomas MacLaggan; and sister Margaret Pugh. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.
