(nee Thistle) Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, Joyce Meadus, aged 86 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Harry Meadus. Leaving to mourn are two sons: Owen (Donna) and Vaughn (Alda); daughter Evelyn Bennett (Gerry), Taiwan; grandchildren: Jason Meadus (Dawn Marie), Halifax, Geoff Meadus, Stephen Meadus, Halifax, Andrea Bennett-Reid (Sheldon), Halifax, Karen Bennett-Clayton (Mark), Halifax and Kelly Meadus (Daniel), Montreal; great-grandchildren: Adam and Ben Reid, Halifax, Samuel and Jack Clayton, Halifax, Jane and Stephanie Meadus, Halifax and Lili Martin, Montreal; beloved sister-in-law and best friend Lucy Meadus; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Lambert and Isabel Rowsell, Kate Meadus and Marcie Meadus; brother-in-law Dougald (Olive), Toronto. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Sophie Winsor, Lester and Gertie Snelgrove, as well as her friends at Alderwood Estates Retirement Home, Witless Bay. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
