FOSTER, JAMES OTTO The death of James Otto Foster of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Veteran's Health Unit on Saturday, November 26th, 2005. Born in North Tay, NB he was the son of the late Charles John and Margaret Anne (Hawkes) Foster, and the husband of the late Jean C. (Hazlett) Foster. Jim retired in 1979 after thirty-three years of service with the Department of Forestry, Government of Canada. From 1940 to 1945, he served overseas with Number 4 Company, Canadian Forestry Corps. An avid musician, James had his own orchestra, "The Men of Note" for many years. He was also a member of The New Brunswick Symphony Orchestra. Survived by his son, Stephen James (Hilda) Foster of Calgary, AB and his daughter, Judith Gail (Mervyn) Morgan of Nasonworth, NB; four grandchildren, Katherine Jane (Craig) Burningham, Karen Joy (Dan) Morgan and James Fraser Stephen (Susan) Foster all of Calgary, AB and Constance Leigh (Robert) Stairs of Fredericton,NB; ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents; wife Jean; three brothers, Frances Henry Foster, George Edward Eldon Foster, and John Patrick Foster; three sisters, Laura Catherine McQuade, Genevieve Margaret Silvia and Constance Foster. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 30th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 1st, 2005 at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Rev. Gerald M. White as Celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 will hold a tribute service at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.
