YERXA, DANIEL (DAN) The passing of Daniel (Dan) Albert Yerxa, husband of Elaine (Milligan) Yerxa, of Keswick Ridge, NB, occurred on December 5, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 10, 1948 in Keswick, NB, he was a son of Albert Melbourne and the late Violet Edna Helen Yerxa. Dan was a member of the Keswick Baptist Church and of the Draft Horse Association. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Besides Dan's family, his passion was horses, he enjoyed spending time in the barn with his horses. Besides his father, he is survived by two sons, Billy Yerxa (Heather) of Grand Prairie, AB and Kipper Doucette of Keswick, NB; two daughters, Tanya Thatcher (Clint) of Drayton Valley, AB and Marie Chartrand (Bobby Cammack) of Scotch Lake, NB; eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Curtis, Lauren, Rebecca, Cameron Daniel, Abby, Darren and Marcey; three sisters, Sylvia Sharpe (Harold) of Keswick, NB, Annis Sharpe (Elwood) of Scotch Settlement and Marie MacPhee (John) of Keswick, NB; two uncles, Bud Yerxa (Shirley) of Keswick and Guy Yerxa (Jean) of Fredericton; one aunt, Tete Taylor of Bear River, NS; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his step-son, Phillip Dykeman and his infant brother, Dellas Yerxa. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 2 pm from Keswick Baptist Church, with Rev. Jonathan MacKay officiating, assisted by his nephew, Pastor of Worship Gary Sharpe. Honourary Pallbearers are Winston Sandwith, Mike Edgar, Ashley Shaw, Ross Griffiths, Leigh Peterson, Alton Jewett, Ray Yerxa and John MacPhee. Interment will take place in Keswick Community Cemetery, Keswick, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Keswick Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
