SYLVAIN GUIMOND

GUIMOND, SYLVAIN The death of Sylvain Guimond of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, December 8, 2005. Born in Rosairviele, NB, he was the son of the late Laurent and Genevieve (Bourque) Guimond and the husband of Jeanne (Marchand) Guimond. Sylvain served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps, 1st Division, 21st field dressing station 1944 - 1946. Survived by his wife, Jeanne; their children, George Guimond (Sherrill) of Fredericton, Marilyn MacFadzen (Bill) of Macquapit Lake, Daniel Guimond (Monique) of Lincoln, Paul Guimond of Toronto and Phillip Guimond (Jeanette) of Toronto; twelve grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Gallant of Shediac, Roseline Boyd (Robert) of Halifax, Marie Richard (Louis) of Fredericton and Cecile Guimond of Fredericton and one brother, Lawrence Guimond (Janet) of Westfield. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Leo and Henry; five sisters, Edna, Laura, Sister Julienne, Sister Esther and Sister Marguerine. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 will hold a legion tribute at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lincoln, NB, on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Monte Peters as Celebrant with Rev. Maurice Guimond as Co- Celebrant. Interment will be held in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery following the funeral mass.
