CARSON, ALICE MARIE (MERRILL) The death of Alice Marie (Merrill) Carson, wife of Thomas Carson, of Holtville, NB, occurred on December 23, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 5, 1932 in Green Hill, NB, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Donnelly) Merrill. Alice was a mail carrier with Canada Post for 29 years. She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Mack (Anne) of Boiestown, NB; three daughters, Mabel Bruce (Rick) of Boiestown, NB, Ellamae Calhoun (Ronnie) of Boiestown, NB and Wendy Johnston (Edmund) of Doaktown, NB; four grandchildren, Laurie Lee, Marie, Alison and Julie; one brother, Ernest Merrill (Marie) of Stanley, NB; four sisters, Greta Thomas (Wilbur) of Fredericton, NB, Mavis Gallagher (Randy) of Taymouth, NB, Shirley Faulkenham (Elwood) of Halifax, NS and Lottie Munn (Allan) of Stanley, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Laurie Johnston and her brother Russell. Visitation will take place at Ridgeway Baptist Church, Parker Ridge, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 26, 2005 at 2 pm from Ridgeway Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. Pallbearers will be Archie Carson Jr., Neil MacLellan, Arthur Merrill, David Merrill, Wayne Thomas and Trevor Munn. Interment will take place at Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Ridgeway Baptist Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
