FAY ETHEL (nee NAGLE) LEVINE

LEVINE, FAY ETHEL (nee NAGLE) Fay E. (nee Nagler) Levine died peacefully at home in Fredericton, NB, on the evening of Jan. 1st, 2006, determinedly stretching her final days into almost a year and a half. Adored wife of Larry; mother of Andrew, Hollie, Corey, Meredith (Thomas Rose), Rennie (Katherine); and step grand-mother of Brooke. Born Aug. 20th, 1929 in Winnipeg, raised in Alberta, Fay had graduate and post-graduate degrees from UBC, U of T, and The London School of Economics. She was a former Coordinator of Adoptions for N.B, community-based family therapist, social justice activist and volunteer board member. Fay was athletic, insatiably curious about ideas and people, passionate about life, a lover of nature, and avid gardener and bridge player, a gifted painter, a caring friend, and delightful company. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4th, 2006 at 1:00 pm from the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. Rabbi Kenneth Zisook officiating. Interment will follow in the Sgoolai Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fredericton Food Bank and Norman House or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Memorial service will take place after Shiva. The family would like to thank the wonderful care that allowed Fay to spend her final months at home: Extra-mural nursing, Dr. Calvin Bruce, and a devoted group of home care workers. www.mcadamsfh.com
