CHARTERS, ROBERT ARTHUR Robert A. Charters of McAdam passed away January 4, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in McAdam in 1947, he was the son of the late James and Joan (Lawson) Charters. Robert was employed as a driver with R. A. Feeney Logging and Trucking. Robert is survived by his wife, Kelly A. (Lyons) Charters; a son, Dale Charters (Connie), Waweig; three daughters, Judy Charters (Joey), St. Stephen, April and Kristy Charters, both at home; two sisters, Avis Bigger (Merle), Harvey Station and Karen McIntyre (Omar), McAdam; a brother, Calvin Charters (Debbie), Dartmouth, NS; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Canada, 155 Saunders Road, McAdam on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
