SPRAGUE, PEARL MARGARET (PETERSEN) The death of Pearl Margaret (Petersen) Sprague, wife of the late Duncan Wright Sprague, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on January 4, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 14, 1921 in New Denmark, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Lillian (Oquist) Petersen. She was an active member of the Gibson Memorial United Church and the Gibson Memorial United Church Women. Pearl is survived by her daughter Colleen Booker (John) of Fredericton, NB; three sons, Gregory Sprague (Linda), Michael Sprague, and Jay Sprague (Gale) all of Fredericton, NB; one granddaughter, Ashley Sprague; three grandsons, Adam Sprague (Angela), Andrew Sprague and Alexander Sprague; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Sprague; one brother, Ray Petersen of Grand Falls, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Collins and Ruth Paulsen and one brother Charles Petersen. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 2 pm from the Gibson Memorial United Church with Rev. Boyd Vincent and Intern Elaine Beattie officiating. A reception in the church hall to follow. Pallbearers are Adam Sprague, Alex Sprague, Andrew Sprague, Alan Jeffries, John Begin and Shawn Paulsen. Interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Gibson Memorial United Church Living Memorial Fund or to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
