BLAIR, DARLENE JANE Darlene J. Blair of McAdam passed away January 7, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Hawkshaw in 1937, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie (Grant) Thornton. Darlene is survived by her husband, Edward (Eddie) Blair; her children, Tony Blair (Lugene), Riverview, Debbie Blair, McAdam, Lyndie Blair (Barb), McAdam, Kelly McIntyre (Kevin), Old Ridge and Kerry Cleghorn (Fred), McAdam; 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister, Donna DeMerchant (Fred), St. Croix; two brothers, Ralph Thornton (Phyllis) and Jack Thornton (Gloria) both of McAdam; her mother-in-law, Sally Blair, McAdam; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Shalta and Robert Thornton. Resting at Rockland Drive United Baptist Church, 30 Rockland Drive, McAdam with visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2pm with Rev. Roger Estey officiating. Interment will be later at Rockland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Colby Blair, Tim Blair, Josh Blair, Jake Blair, Gary Cleal and Fred Cleghorn.
