LIRETTE, HARLEY JOSEPH The death of Harley Lirette of Burton, NB occurred Wednesday, January 11th, 2006 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on May 21st, 1928 in Chipman, NB, he was the son of the late Martin and Alice (Gaudet) Lirette and husband of Annette (Richard) Lirette. Harley was a devoted husband and father. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing and spending time at the cottage. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93. Survived by his wife Annette (Richard) Lirette of Burton, NB; sons Gregory (Shelley) of Grande Prairie, AB, Michael (Katherine Russell) of Fort St. John, BC; grandsons, Marcus and Jordan Lirette of Grande Prairie, AB; brother, Alfred of Oromocto, NB; sister, Theresa Stiles of Moncton, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, son Mark Lirette and sisters Marie, Judy, Ida and Elizabeth. Visitation will be at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14th, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will conduct a tribute service at 7 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, January 15th, 2006 at 2pm with Rev. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice. www.oromoctofh.com
