Anton (Tony) Schick passed away peacefully on May 15, 2008 at the age of 86 years, surrounded by his children. Tony was born at home on the family farm near Bayard, SK on July 5, 1921. Tony married his childhood sweetheart, Dora on December 30, 1945. They farmed in the Bayard district until 1986 and then retired in Moose Jaw. They enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing, and taking bus tours. Over the years, Tony was known to have worn many hats. He was a great sausage maker, a school bus driver, and a hair cutter. Predeceased by his wife Dora, his parents, brother William (Bill), and his brothers-in-law John Morhart and Lorne Stafford. Left to treasure his memory are his children: Geraldine (Fred) Rettger, Bernice Harrison, Doug (Debbie), Terry (Kim), and Christine (Dwayne) Hutchinson; twelve beautiful grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; brother Alfred (Mable), sisters Emma Morhart and Anne Stafford; sister-in-law Jean Schick, as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Monday May 19, 2008 at 11:00 am. Reverend John Kreutzwieser will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6, would be appreciated. In living memory of Tony, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
