GEORGE EDWIN MacLAGGAN
MacLAGGAN, GEORGE EDWIN The passing of George Edwin MacLaggan, husband of Tanya (Norrad) MacLaggan, of McGivney, NB, occurred on January 14, 2006 at his home. Born in Ward Settlement, NB in 1940, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Ethel (Flewelling) MacLaggan. George retired from the Canadian Pacific Railway in Ontario. He was a member of the Beaverbrook Branch #80 Royal Canadian Legion, Nashwaak Bridge. Besides his wife, Tanya, he is survived by one son, Robert MacLaggan of Fredericton; one daughter, Ashley MacLaggan of Taxis River; one brother, Samuel MacLaggan (Loretta) of Astle; one sister, Joyce Staples (Doug) of McGivney; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Marsha; and one brother, Lyle MacLaggan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Pastor Pat McAloon officiating. Pallbearers will be David Coughlan, Christopher Coughlan, Chris White, Tyler Norrad, Sonny MacLaggan and John Staples. There will be a reception, following the service, at the Nashwaak Bridge Legion. Interment will take place at the Astle Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
