JAMES THORNTON
THORNTON, JAMES The death of James Thornton, husband of Linda (Sprague) Thornton occured on Saturday, January 14th, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of Paul and Maxine (Neilson) Thornton. Jim was a service representative for IBM for 35 yrs before retiring in 2002 and was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church. He was a member of the Fredericton Motorcycle Touring Club, enjoyed basketball, walking his dog and was very involved with his sons throughout their time in hockey. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by three sons, Todd (Sheena) from Millbrook, ON, Cory (Jocelyn) from Calgary, AB and Ryan (Shannon) from Fredericton, NB, one brother Dana (Anne) from Temperance Vale, NB, one sister Bonnie (Bob) Connors of Nackawic, NB, two grand dogs, Boyd and Seven, one niece and four nephews. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Funeral service will be at St. Mary's Anglican Church, McEvoy Street on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006 at 2 pm with Rev. Ian Wetmore officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the A.L.S.
