Dorothy Wanita Patterson (Gunn) passed away peacefully on Thursday May 15, 2008 at the age of 91 years, with her family by her side. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents John Gunn and Annie Slade, her husband James in 1985, brother Cliff Gunn in 1986, son Bob Patterson in 2007 and daughter Margaret Deobald in 1994. She is survived by her brother Roy (Jean) Gunn of Sherwood Park, AB, and two nieces Janice and Linda and their families; daughter-in-law Darlene Patterson of Morse; close family friends Ralph (Star) Deobald and Arne (Colleen) Iversen of Moose Jaw; grandchildren Cisco (Lisa) Patterson of Swift Current, Mona (Mark) Patterson of Swift Current; Dion (Carol) Deobald of Moose Jaw, Jamie (Karen) Deobald of London, ON, Twyla (Terry) Ruthven of Moose Jaw, great-grandchildren: Vicki, Kenny, Cooper, Bauer, Emily, Eric, Mitchell, Brenna, Shelby, and Brooklynn, as well as many close friends. A Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday May 21, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Shamrock Cemetery. Memorial donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Shamrock Regional Park. In living memory of Dorothy, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
