CURTIS, LINDSAY ALLEN The death of Lindsay Allen Curtis, husband of Catherine Mae (Beek) Curtis, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on January 26th, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in 1929, in Gray Rapids, NB, he was a son of the late Moses and Mae (Sullivan) Curtis. Lindsay was a mechanic for 30 years with Engine Rebuilders. He was a past member of the Mactaquac Gun Club where he held his grand champion in hand guns and rifles. Lindsay enjoyed flying and maintaining planes, and he loved to travel with his wife in their motor home. Besides his wife, Catherine, he is survived by two daughters, Bonny Curtis of Burtt's Corner, Brenda (Dale) Stephenson of Lower Hainesville; two sons, Tony (Ruth) Curtis of Douglas, Danny (Ivy) Curtis of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena (Kenneth) Hayes of Tay Creek; two brothers, Hayward (Laura) Curtis of Fredericton, Shirlie (Anne) Curtis of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Wendy Gail Curtis; son-in-law, Marty Palmer; three sisters, Stella Johnson, Esther MacDonald, Melissa Elliott; four brothers, Wilson, Emerson, Henry and Lyman Curtis. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 30th, 2006 at 2 pm from Sunset Church with Pastor Joseph Beesley, Rev. Lloyd Pangburn and Rev. Richard Bragdon officiating. Pallbearers are Jim Curtis, Leo Elliott, Richard Riley, Peter Riley, Dale Riley and Dale Stephenson. Interment will take place at Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society of New Brunswick, or to the Sunset Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
