John Wenarchuk peacefully passed away at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw on May 29, 2008. He was born in Canora, Saskatchewan September 21, 1935. He traveled across Canada as a musician with many bands, later settling in Moose Jaw where he married Isabel Windsor in 1957. John worked for ten years at Palm Dairies while he continued playing music in local bands. John's passion was playing music, leading him to open John's Music Ltd. which is being carried on by his family. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Elsie Boreski, John is survived by his devoted wife of fifty years, Isabel; three sons: Jerry (Karen) and their sons: Jesse and Mitchell; Darren (Diane) and their sons: Zane and Tyson; Ryan (Rhonda) and their daughters: Raquel and Jasmin; sister, Mary McGregor as well as many nieces and nephews in the Winnipeg area. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Dorothy May, Edith (Doug) Crosby, Muriel (Laurence) Drysdale, Norma (Ernie) Folk and Iris (Don) Craig, along with so many good friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, 60 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Reverend Nobuko Iwai will officiate. Memorialization will take place privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3.
