ELSLIGER, MARY RITA (IRENE) Irene Elsliger of Nackawic passed away February 17, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Dalhousie in 1923, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Savoy) Good. Irene was a member of the CCW of St. Simon and St. Jude Church. She was an avid golfer and curler and for many years was involved in the planning of tournaments for both sports. Irene is survived by her husband, Roland (Rolly) C. Elsliger; two sons, Barry Elsliger (Sheila) of Nackawic and Brian Elsliger (Colette) of Moncton; five grandchildren, Kim Myshrall (Jason), Nackawic who is also Irene's Godchild, Jason Elsliger, Fredericton, Cindy Elsliger, Vancouver, BC, Kevin Elsliger (Julie), Dieppe and Marley Dempsey (Tracy), Nackawic; one great grandchild, Tristan Myshrall; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Dora, Alma and Pearl and four brothers, Raymond, Frank, Lindy and Maurice Good. Visiting hours were held on Sunday at Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2006 at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, Nackawic with Fr. Dan Melanson officiating. Interment will be later at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery.
