EHRENREICH, ALBIN The family and friends of Albin Ehrenreich mourn his sudden passing at his home in Prince William on February 18, 2006. He was born in a German community in Romania in 1926 and later studied aircraft mechanics in Germany. Dreaming of a better life he immigrated to Belleville Ontario in 1951 where he met his future wife Lilli. He became a tool and die maker and transferred his young family to Brampton Ontario where he began his career with Northern Electric Company. He was a founding member of the German-Canadian Hansa Club in Brampton and served as President. His entrepreneurial spirit took him to northern Ontario, where he ran a successful family business. Realizing his lifelong passion for the land, he later retired with his wife to their farm in Prince William NB where he enjoyed caring for his animals and gardens. Albin will be remembered for his skill at wood and metalworking and how he delighted visitors to the blacksmith shop at Kings Landing Historical Settlement with his stories. A devoted and hardworking family man, Albin will be sadly missed by his dear wife Lilli, his children Heidi, Ralph, Christine, and Peter, his grandchildren Kristjan, Ricarda, Joey, Tyson, Savannah, great grandchild Austin, and his sisters Loni and Erna and everyone who knew him. Visitation will be held at St. Clements Church, Dumfries on Thursday, February 23rd, 2006 from 1:00 - 2:15 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:30 pm. Reverend Elaine Hamilton Parish of Dumphries officiating. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
